Not sure if this is the right place for posting it but I received a long awaited parcel today. In it 13 different decal sheets I will use for my longterm Elastolin projects. Since there are no decals as such available I had to try to produce them myself - all in all I have been on this for the last 12 months. All previous trials useing those by now out of days printers that can print even the colour white where in vain. At such small scale - where the colours black and white are grouped so close together - you can not expect a convincing quality. I tried various print shops but it simply did not pay at all. Being by no means a expert on the pc I eventually found somebody who did the job in creating vector files of all those desired decals for me. There is no way around doing so, scanning, copying etc. simply does not work if you do expect quality in such a small size.

Once the vector drawings where complete the odyssee began finding a print shop that could do the demanded number in high quality good old fashioned screen printing. That was the difficult part - won' t go into details but my believes towards international "customer service" have changed a lot since.
Eventually I found just the right printshop (well ok more or less that is).
Since it had been such an experience allready and there was also some money being spent - I took a deep breath, bought my wife something nice and pledged the order calling it my very own long whished for, very personal absourdly expensive in no way to excuse x-mas gift.
In short to me it is a long whised for dream coming true - mind you I guess I can safely say that these are the only such decals around in 1/24. If I think of all the figures I could have bought for the same money ............ - second thaughts? - NO WAY!
I wanted them, I got them and they are mine for good. Can't wait to get the first figures ready to use them on.

Just putting these two samples (scaned from the screen printed original) up in order to challenge you to be foolish as well - it's fun...
Enjoy!
Best regards
Wolfgang

He's learned his lessons well!

Hi, Wolfgang, are you working in 1/24th? I guess the Elastolin figures are, aren't they.

I was thinking that you were working in 54mm, and I would have suggested looking in Verlinden's catalog for these kinds of decals. I think there are some other manufacturers who make these, too, but I don't know any more names, offhand.

Prost!
Brad
