" The atlantic wall" diorama (2 Viewers)

Hi Guy,

Thanks for the tips on the Wetern Wall and where to go to get my chips with the food! Been to Belguim once but at that time was too much focused on Tintin stuff and not that much into WW2! Need to go back and this time head for the fortifications. If I am not mistaken they were preserved by Royal Order, along with some WW1 foftifications were they not? Or was that in Denmark....
These seem fatastcially preserved and a great open air museum to visit.
Cheers
Luiz

You are 100% right Luiz; the West Wall was preserved by Royal Order. In a nutshell: The Domain in which you can visit these interesting ww2 relics was bought in 1904 by King Leopold II. During WW1 the German naval battery "Aachen" occupied the domain. After the death of King Albert 1st, his son Prince Charles inherited it for 100% . When the 2nd WW was over, he ordered the domain to remain as it was left by the Germans. In 1981 he sold it to the Belgian government.

Here below you can see, my friends, how you can build a nice ww2 german pulley with a broken umbrella parts, a tin can of beer ( or other drink {sm4}), a small chain and 3 old toy soldiers wheels...{sm3}
