Although my figures are K&C, this is aimed around my recently acquired Britains barn, so thought would post here instead of K&C section.

Based on the troops I have got I like to think this is a little shot somewhere on the road during the British evacuation of Philadelphia leading to Sandy Hook.

Really nice set up there. I too have the barn. It works for so many eras. I'm using mine for WW2 and AWI.

I could not believe the weight of the Barn. I had a hard time getting it out of the box. The detail is great and it was worth the 3 year wait.

Hey Cornwallis, so now I know where all the K&C BR40's and BR61's went!{sm4}

Yea' that is a nice display of the K&C figures, along with the GREAT Britains Barn .... they work real well together. The hinge on the barn and door is a little fragile but I have had no issues to date.

You did a super job of setting up the figures so they appear to be fading into the road at the back. – Nice!^&grin

Is that a Build-a-Rama or a JG mat? :confused: Also the wood fence works real well. I will have to try to build one.

Gee Cornwallis so many ideas here …… THANKS for the inspiration. I’ll get my Britains Barn and try one!

Do I detect a Del Prado figure in the Cart? (Believe it or not …. I did EXACTLY the same thing.)
Shhhh … I won’t tell anyone. It will be our secret!:rolleyes2:

Ha Ha, I didn't get anywhere near the amount of BR61's or BR040 figures that I wanted before they got retired, which makes me annoyed really why some series get retired when there is still demand, I mean I would seriously be wanting loads of them!

It is a custom made JG mat, as you might be able to tell the standard grass mat with a track does not have a junction, where as mine leads off into the farm yard half way down and then as part of the same mat half was made like a dusty farmyard.

Yes good spot on the Del Prado figure, it is the private marine, substituting as my cart driver, although doesn't look great as arms are wrong and doesn't look like he is sitting.

Thanks for nice comments Larry (and everyone else).

Hope your well.

Tom

Oh yea' Tom, I feel the pain there also. :mad:
I was hoping to also load up on certain figures to form an impressing advancing line of British. Just imagine having them shoulder to shoulder while the "British Grenadiers March" is playing in the background! (Okay, okay I'll go get my meds!!!){sm2}

But you can only buy so many at a time (or lose out on other items). Then one day they get retired.^&confuse

Then to add “insult” to “injury” the figures appear on eBay the next day at DOUBLE the release price.
Still you do have quite an impressive display.

Nicely staged an thanks for sharing it...........The Lt.

This is a very nice diorama.

One of the reason to retire a figure to my knowledge is that the original mold is "shot". And because so many figures are already in circulation, a manufacturer is often reluctant to invest in a second mold, but rather use the capital to invest in something new.

Very nicely done Tom. As you know I also have this barn and I like it every bit as much as you do. It is extremely versatile for many periods but especailly for the AWI and the ACW. Kuddos to you sir . . . all the best . . . .
:smile2: Mike

Great dio. I think some of the new K&C Fusiliers presenting arms would fit in great around the Hessians!
