Fantastic idea. Nicely done ,but .... SS were in charge of security not the regular troops and the Berghof was situated on top of the Oberzalsberg. No bridge in sight for miles around. Sorry, (I visited the place some years ago. It is a mountain road that leads up to Hitler's retreat)

Thanks Guy, all agreed, the escort is SS and the Berghof is still some way off, this is one of the many rivers as you begin the climb into the hills. Watch for scene 2 in the next few days. Cheers, Robin.

Not sure about 7, but I keen to impress you now. What a thrill to actually have been there. When I attack a scene it may not always historically correct, but I always do it in multi levels. I have ordered a dedicated book on the Berghof coming this week, have found many actual footage scenes in 4 of my 200 WW11 dvd's about the place, spent $2000 in figures and backdrops to bring the place alive and viewed multiple u tube videos on the times at the Berghof. So for a brief moment once again, I go over the top, until I move on to the next piece of history that I want to duplicate. Cheers, Robin.

Robin where did you get the bridge? Ron

This should be ... exciting! {sm3}

I love the telling of a story via small snippets and glimpses of everyday life. Being historically accurate is great, but eye appeal and having fun building the dio is (IMO) more fun. I will be waiting for the next …

Villagehorse who makes that bridge and where to get one??
Thank u
Maple Leaf

By scene 1 I can tell this Berghof dio is promising...! Can`t wait to see the rest!

Once again very nicely done my Lad from Down Under an along with others looking forward to what's next...............The Lt.

Thanks fellow collectors, I will try not to let you down. The bridge was done by a local who made a number of items for me in plaster and than gave it away. He was doing a Roman building for me and suddenly his life changed course and went off the air. You may have seen these before, but here are the 2 bridges, church and building he did for me, all very solid and heavy. Working on scene 3 today and hopefully scene 2 tomorrow if a parcel arrives. Cheers, Robin.

Re: the Berghof scene 2

Hi Robin,

Good job.....thanks for sharing your hard work.

I think I see the Bormann tree on the right side of the roadway in the first picture.

Cheers, Raymond.:smile2:
