Hi Guys,

Many moons ago, when K&C produced our first “Old West” series we had some running buffalos.

Well, many years later, while watching again “Dances With Wolves” I thought it was about time we reintroduced some more, brand-new American Bison for ‘The Real West’ series... And here is a sneak preview.

K&C has produced no less than 5 different buffalos... A set of Three running animals plus a set of Two buffalos who have fallen to the lances and arrows of galloping Sioux and Cheyenne warriors.

Release is scheduled for the first quarter of 2020.
Enjoy!

Put me down for a set Andy, have been looking for many moons for some Buffalo for my Wild West series, many thanks. 2020 continues to shape up for a big year, especially from K&C. Robin.

Great news! Sounds awesome. Count me in Andy.

Regards
Russell

This is magnificent 😁👍👍👍👍👍
2020 starts very well for TRW collectors! and I'm glad I'm one of them.
Thanks Andy:salute::

A happy New Year 🎉🎊

I don’t collect this series but the vision of Buffalo herds thundering down the plains is iconic. I will pick up a set (not the dying ones).

Thank goodness this noble animal, who hooves sounded like an earthquake as they thundered down the plains, didn’t become extinct and has prospered. He is as much a symbol of America as the Bald Eagle.

Guessing the 3 running set will be more popular than the 2 dying set. A couple of grazing ones would also fit nicely. Robin.

I think you’re right Robin. Agree about grazing ones. I never got around to buying the old one and glad I waited as these look very good. Kudos to Andy and his team.

It seems that this new year will bring pleasant surprises from the Wild West.

hi Francisco,
Last September when I began researching this project I was at the ‘Chicago Show’ and managed to buy one of Blackhawk’s Buffalos there to study it...A very nice model too!
It’s a wee bit smaller than our upcoming K&C ones [about 10 per cent] but could be used as a younger member of the herd and stylistically a good mix.
best wishes and Thankyou guys for the warm reception to these new pieces!
Andy.

Depending on price these could come in handy hopefully they are plastic or something cheap like that to keep the price down so multiples are achievable.

Hopefully Wayne they are not plastic…If they are…someone is going to get the sack!!!
Believe it or not, it's NOT about making something 'cheap'…It's about making something of quality at a reasonable price that most collectors can afford.
Happy New Year,
Andy.

It never once occurred to me that these would be plastic. I’m sure they will be terrific.

I was thinking of price cause I'm not rich enough to pay 100+ AUD for buffalo If made of something cheaper seeing as they are diorama pieces EG tin trucks I just thought it would make more sense, I don't know many TS collectors that collect buffalo.

I have played around creating a Buffalo scene in the past and felt that it wasn't quite right with the scale. The larger Buffalo is a Shleich brand and i shaved about 10-15 ml off his huge hump to make him more compatible with the smaller Black Hawk animals. These are made of resin and now look more like a family unit with a large bull and cows with young. The KC Buffalo appear to be nicely sculptured and well scaled for their Indian figures. I think wounded and dying animals are necessary for realism and should be part of diorama scene. Even a Buffalo crashing into a Indian and horse figure would be a popular item. Worth thinking about Andy? Regards Greg.

Sorry Gents for doubling up on the photo. Just realised it. Here is the photo I should have shown. Greg.

Hello! I find the KC buffalos better sculpted and better painted than the BH ones.
But, if you need only one or 2 not running, cheap, I found this resin item for 9 euros, really nice in colours and sculpt. {sm3}:salute::
