Saw this one today and thought it a very good historical piece. Reiviewers rated it as dull. You have to be interested in the time period to find it of itnerest.
The "Mrs." and I are making a date of seeing it. She already was a CW/WBTS buff when we married. One review used the term "starchy" which means that it had a stiffness about it like most recent Civil war themed movies such as Gettysburg and Glory or the sleep inducing Gods and Generals. It don't think folks behaved and spoke the same way they wrote back then.

Just got back for seeing The Conspirator. No awful anachronisms. Pretty good acting by dependable character actors. There's a definite 9/11 theme which is OK as there was a Red Scare theme in the Crucible.
Uniforms looked OK except some gear worn incorrectly and "dull" brass that would have been polished in garrisons. An awful display of drill in one outdoor scene. Great use of Fort Pulaski in Georgia and Savannah, GA as Washington.
