Hi Guys,
The Crucifixion of Jesus was the execution by crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth in 1st Century Judea, most likely sometime between AD30 and AD33. It is described in the four gospels of the New Testament and attested to by other independent sources.
According to the gospels, Jesus was arrested and tried by the Jewish authorities before being sentenced by Pontius Pilate, the Roman Governor of Judea. He was then scourged before being finally crucified by the Romans.
In addition to Jesus, we show here the two convicted thieves who were crucified on either side of him using the same painful method of execution.
May we wish all of you a blessed and holy Easter!
All the very best and happy collecting,
Andy
