This is so true. The version at Kursk, the Ferdinand, had no hull machine gun for close in defense. I remember reading, somewhere, that the crew was forced to shoot down the barrel of the main armament if they wanted to use a MG for defense. This couldn't have worked well or been very effective. After Kursk, this weakness was addressed by adding a hull MG to the surviving Ferdinands. The revamped Ferdinand was renamed the Elephant. -- Al
 
I'm guessing size and use. It's a very big model and hard to use in a small display area. But it is a very nice and historically important model

^&cool The ELEPHANT is a GREAT S.P.TAnk, but Andy made this Vehicle too LIGHTWEIGHT, and NOT HEAVY! I hope he decide's ,to bring back this Vehicle, with Different Various Colors; and this TIME make it a HEAVY WW2 Piece!:wink2::):cool:
