Saw this over the week end.
A mafia boss and his family are relocated to a sleepy town in Normandy, France under the witness protection program after snitching on the mob. Despite the best efforts of Agent Stansfield (Tommy Lee Jones) to keep them in line, Fred Manzoni (Robert De Niro), his wife Maggie (Michelle Pfeiffer) and their children Belle (Dianna Agron) and Warren (John D'Leo) can't help but revert to old habits and blow their cover by handling their problems the "family" way, enabling their former mafia cronies to track them down. Chaos ensues as old scores are settled in the unlikeliest of settings in this darkly funny film by Luc Besson (Taken, Transporter).
Produced by Scorsese.
I would put this in category of drama with a good dose of comedy. Good cast with both the kids good and a few familiar faces amongst the bad guys.
De Niro's cover is as a writer and unfortunately he decides to tell his Normandy neighbour he is writing about the US Marines role in the Normandy landings ! Subsequently gets invited to be guest speaker at an American movie night and the film turns out to be one that his protecting Agent does not approve of.
Good fun including what the kids get up to in school and Michelle in the supermarket.
