Guys..

Tommorow night on BBC2 a great sounding programme featuring rare footage from airships etc and photographs taken by pilots plots the great war from the air. I think this sounds like one of those programmes not to be missed

Saw this program the first time round, superb docu and fascinating footage of Ypres from above. Well worth seeing, I have it on my Virgin box and still have to put it on DVD.

Yes... brilliant show, we had it here on TV in April to coincide with ANZAC Day and I was most impressed with the moving pictures showing the trnches and the destruction in WW1 on the Somme and in Flanders.

After visiting those areas in the past couple of years, I could recognise many of the sites I went to (Ypres in paricular) and now seen the reconstruction.

Don't miss it !!!!

It's really worth taping/keeping, it's Feargal Keane in an airship travelling along the front line and he also gets to fly in a WW1 fighter. It also uses some good graphics to show the effect of underground mines during the war. But it's the footage of Ypre and the Somme taken after the battles that is stunning. It was shown in November around remembrance day time.

can't believe I let this slip by me first time

Its easy to do sometimes, I missed that docu about the Canadians on D Day a while back, but the good thing with most of these progs is that they do get repeated.

Stunning documentary. How people survived the battles when you see this stuff amazes me.
