I recently picked up the German 7.5cm Leichtes Infanteriegeshutz (IG) 18 cannon (ACC PACK 059A) as a set with the additional crew figures SS088, SS089, and SS106. The Thomas Gunn IG 18 is an excellent little model and very much worth getting. I’ve included a few pics of my little display below. Enjoy

Really like these little scenes and how you've displayed the gun set with crew with a little imagination on a small base.

I think TG have done an amazing job with their latest 2x SS artillery sets.

I actually owe you a thank you. I „built“ my last napoleonic display also in a picture frame - an idea you reminded me of. I really like your little vignettes. I have switched to flock to cover the bases tho.

Hi All,
I agree this is a great set.....I really want to get myself one also, but the fact that they come only as SS has stopped me from buying it right away....wish TGM offered us a choice between Heer and SS......My collection does not carry any SS due to its political ties to the Reich....
I am considering buying and getting them converted to regular Heer troops...Really do not understand why TGM persists on releasing the new sets all SS clad....

You have a genuinely interesting decision making process. I hope you don’t mind, but I’d like to share my perspective with you. I just read a book about the Native Americans, and their genocide. It led me to think about collecting from this period of America history, and this thought continued to other periods e.g. the Spanish conquistadors, the Romans, the Saxons, the Vikings, the British Empire, the IDF, the Vietnam War, Peninsula War (French in Spain, etc.), the German Army in WW1, the Russians in WWII. Atrocities are evident throughout our history and there is more often than not a political impetus. For me, it’s difficult to see where any country is innocent when most have been guilty of it at some time or another, so I collect what I like and just take them for what they are toy soldiers.

There will be a Heer version of the patrol set later in the year plus a Heer tank or maybe two who knows! However before those, the B version of the SS patrol will be here and it looks like they will make next months release, which is good news for those who collect them.
