the greatest compliment you ever recieved (1 Viewer)

Tom Dubel asking me to paint a figure for him, I felt deeply honored.

Prost!

Terrific work John, I love what you did to convert the Union Jack into a “Regimental Standard”… The owner must be very pleased.

Seems that I'm getting right with my painting :)

The note I just received from Ebay thanking me for being a loyal customer for the last 13 years!:)

Oh, never mind.......I was day dreaming!:D

My 5 year old nephew was asked to draw a picture of what he was thankful for.

He drew a picture of a man and a goose. We asked who it was and he replied my Uncle Scott and his goose.

Uncle Scott doesn't have a goose, yes he does, he said. It is right there on the paper.

I obviously have made an impression on him so far in his young life :)

at the end...as my Dad was terminally ill...when Hospice stepped in...on one of his last days...he said I was a good son and I was his "rock"...I'll never forget that...:)

"You're going to make a great infantry soldier."

Corporal Smith, 2 Section Commander, 22 Platoon, C Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion (circa. December 1986)

At the time I thought it was a good thing! :D

That is all one can really hope for in life.

I still get a tad emotional when someone out of the blue sees me in a GO ARMY shirt or some other novelty army item and walks over and thanks me for serving.

On a long cranky family car ride we went thought a toll booth and I sunk the coins in the basket. My 3 year old daughter piped out "You did it Dad!"

Thank you.

Maybe, that is maybe when my Latin teacher, who retired after 40 years of teaching Latin, in introducing me to her husband, said I was her best Latin student. This is not so special to me because of the obvious meaning, but because she is such a role model to me, as she has done what she loves for her entire life, and is virtually a walking Latin, English, Roman history, and grammar dictionary.
Gratias tibi, magistra!

"It's not that small!"

Reaction on a blind date...in relation to the size of my brain.

BTW, as it was a blind date, I drove.
