I was in London last week for a few days and was staying in a hotel just a stones throw from Wellington Barracks, so I decided
to take a look at the Guards Toy Soldier Centre. Have never been there before. I just wanted to say thank you to David in the shop whose enthusiasm was infectious and who came over as a true scholar and a gentleman. I thoroughly enjoyed the chat over all things toy soldier, and walked out with the Britains Rorkes drift hospital building, the hospital extension , the new ACW Leister farmhouse and a few last zulus,
David I know you read the forum.......
Managed to get them all back to Manila in my luggage without damage - a welcome change from shipping in and being hammered by Manila Customs.....who always manage to impose something close to a 50% mark up........which makes even UK prices look good.
so thanks Guards Toy Soldier Centre and all the best
