Magnificent :salute:: as good as it gets - a Vickers will do the job everytime.

Wayne mate,
Outstanding Photos cobber but spooky as at the moment, I have just finished reading about the Massacre at Barada Gorge 30th Sept 1918 when two LH Regiments (3rd & 5th) plus a MG Squadron with Vickers MGs opened up from the cliff tops of the Barada Gorge with rifles and MG into a totally packed pass full of retreating Turks and Germans plus women, cattle, camels and horses.
Brig. Gen. MacArthur-Onslow said that he "had never given an order with greater reluctance and horror" than when he told his men to open fire. German machine gunners on the lorries had ignored repeated calls to cease fire and to surrender. It took three hundred German prisoners a fortnight to clear the carnage. A small piece of LH History.
Cheers Howard

Howard,
I always have your good self in mind when I attempt a LH dio as I know your true interest in LH history but when you say 'spooky'... well it is uncanny, I am no where near as well versed in the LH history and that was something I was unaware of. As Sherman said...'War is hell'.
Cheers mate.
Wayne.

Wayne, what can I say : As usual, a lot of drama with only a few figures and very nice pics
guy:)

Wayne, covering the bases always heightens the focus on the figure, well done, great setup, complimented this time with Howard's narrative. All too good, cheers, Robin.

Splendid scene Wayne, great work as usual and a cool set that MG team.

Rob

Wayne, another cool dio mate.

Howard, I also have never heard of that ambush at the Barada Gorge by the ALH, reminded me of the Falaise Pocket in WWII.

Yes...rumour has it that there were a couple of Victorians who made it into the Light Horse. Probably non combatants but there were some...probably!

Wayne and Jack, Cobbers.
Sweet also sweet. It could only come out of the mouths of Banana Benders.^&grin^&grin I just wait each morning to see if Wayne has posted a good LH Dio knowing full well that that they would all look like Victorians.:smile2: So there now, Heckel and Jeckel keep up the great work.
Cheers from the Southern States of Australia, Howard

PS General Sir Harry Chauvel was a great fan of J.E.B. Stuart. A Southern States man I believe.^&grin

Dear Wayne and Howard

I would never argue with either of you. I have too much respect for Senior Citizens to do that!

Regards

Jack
