The latest sculpts from our favorite toy soldier maker is the very fine Hunting Series, currently consisting of four mounted hunters and their hounds, three a piece.

For those who are bound to ask, despite a certain pressure to do so, Mr. Cowe persisted in his preference to NOT make a fox for this series. Our dear old NZ softy could not quite enjoy the idea of the sly fox ever getting caught and I agree wholeheartedly. This is a great set (but you knew I would say that)

Also: Sorry for the subpar photos. These are my first experiments with a "photo tent" and so far, I am not quite getting the point. But I will hope to improve and, if I do, I will eventually replace the photos.

Cheers,
Drum

These are beautiful!! I take it they are new and available for order?

Thanks for sharing them with us.

Lovely, lovely sets... It's surely great news that Mr. Cowe is coming up with new sculpts... Oh, and about the photos, to me they look excellent, really showing off the beauty of these sets!

Cheers Drum and many thanks,
Paulo

Not a surprise at all - looks great. Any word on whether we might see some other new sets, including for the Nap series?

Is the number 4 huntswoman truly a new sculpt? I could swear somewhere in my collection is a very similar figure if not the same.

All-in-all, it is great that Imperial has come out with something new.

That line is spectacular.

There is this one from the T&A series

Correct, I just checked mine. Very similar to the town and around figure.

Similar, for sure, but definitely a new sculpt. I can post a few comparison pics, but the legs and head are different, as well as the fall of the fabric. Also, of course, the horse is new as well.

Cheers,
D

Nope, no need. I compared. They are really similar and both are wonderful.

Beautiful! I love Imperial. Kudos to David Cowe and his fine new sets.

By the way my mom has a glass fox and hound set displayed in her china hutch and I've noticed that sometimes the fox is the one doing the chasing ;).
