Hi Guys,
Several times on K&C’s recent U.S. visit I was asked why and for how long does K&C go “on the road” in a year.
Well, in the last twelve months alone it’s totaled almost three whole months. The K&C team (Helen, Patrick, Gordon and your truly) in various combinations have been to America… the U.K., France, Italy, Australia, Korea, Thailand, Japan and the Philippines.
As to why we do it…? To meet collectors, dealers, prospective distributors and to look at individual markets and see if, how and where we can sell more K&C and/or introduce it into “virgin territory”.
As many of you know personally we also get to talk and discuss the hobby and business (often on a one-to-one basis) with individual dealers and collectors. Your feedback and views expressed are vital to our forward strategic planning.
Sometimes you can see a “trend” coming or get a feel for what a particular country or area is especially interested in.
So many first-class ideas, suggestions and projects have come out of these overseas “forays”. Plus we get to see a bit more of the world… how lucky is that!
Looking forward we hope to be off to Australia in June to preview the next Light Horse releases as well as the occasional surprise or two.
After that… there’s Europe in July and the U.S. in September and October… I can’t wait… But until then… it’s nose to the grindstone, bum in the air and back to the drawing board!
Best wishes and happy collecting!
Andy C.
