Hi Guys,

Several times on K&C’s recent U.S. visit I was asked why and for how long does K&C go “on the road” in a year.

Well, in the last twelve months alone it’s totaled almost three whole months. The K&C team (Helen, Patrick, Gordon and your truly) in various combinations have been to America… the U.K., France, Italy, Australia, Korea, Thailand, Japan and the Philippines.

As to why we do it…? To meet collectors, dealers, prospective distributors and to look at individual markets and see if, how and where we can sell more K&C and/or introduce it into “virgin territory”.

As many of you know personally we also get to talk and discuss the hobby and business (often on a one-to-one basis) with individual dealers and collectors. Your feedback and views expressed are vital to our forward strategic planning.

Sometimes you can see a “trend” coming or get a feel for what a particular country or area is especially interested in.

So many first-class ideas, suggestions and projects have come out of these overseas “forays”. Plus we get to see a bit more of the world… how lucky is that!

Looking forward we hope to be off to Australia in June to preview the next Light Horse releases as well as the occasional surprise or two.

After that… there’s Europe in July and the U.S. in September and October… I can’t wait… But until then… it’s nose to the grindstone, bum in the air and back to the drawing board!

Best wishes and happy collecting!
Andy C.

Andy,

I hope I get the opportunity to meet you in Brisbane in June. I am sure Brett will have a “cunning plan” for a get together.

My Great uncle Les, who I remember pretty well, was in the 12th Light Horse and charged Beersheba at the tender age of 19, after landing at ANZAC Cove as a 16 year old. His brother Harry unfortunately died of wounds, that he sustained during the charge. Les and Harry at least rode together during the charge, but I suspect there is no way you could keep two brothers apart.

Personally, thank you for undertaking the Light Horse series. I am sure many of your releases hold a special place in the hearts of collectors worldwide.

Regards,

Alby

Andy,

I'm sorry that I won't be able to make it over to the East Coast of OZ in June, Brett and Howard have hinted about your trip, so the inviation is there but maybe I'll catch up with you and Helen in Europe in July? I'm planning on being at the London Show in June, then over to France...

See you then?

John

I am penciling in my busy schedule to be able to get to the get together this year but won't no till latter.Simmo.

I noticed Canada was left off your list of globetrotting. I know J. Jenkins has been to Quebec recently visiting the ToySoldierClub. Perhaps one of your Canadian distributors could set something up like you did in Australia. Lots of military heritage in the Great White North, we'd love to have you folks here for a visit to inspire you in a variety of new directions.

I was thinking the same, no one ever visits us :( For such a large country we sure seem awful small.

or perhaps Goderich, Ontario

http://www.toysoldiers.com/

a beautiful little town especially in the summer.

I think here in the Eastern part of Canada we have three major dealers, One in Quebec City, one here in Ottawa (National Capital) and this one in Goderich Ontario.

As Ottawa is located in the middle of both, 350 KM from Quebec on the East and 500 km from Goderich on the West. Therefore, we have to agree that Andy will choose the National Capital, OTTAWA....:D

Cheers, my friend...

BTW, they Bought a façade dio for me long time ago.
