The last Milkman (1 Viewer)

When I was a kid, there were milkmen, would leave a bottle (glass) in box outside the door, and it was always unlocked. There were also deliverymen for bread, donuts, potato chips & pretzels. In Germany there were home deliveries of beer (of course) and apple juice (appflesaft) for the kids. Every week in Baltimore carts pulled by ponies would travel down the back alleys and sell fresh fruits, watermelons and cantaloupes and vegetables. And also peach baskets of top soil. I remember the drivers calling out "top soil eh top soil."
