The M18 Hellcat has Arrived! (1 Viewer)

Dimension wise, how does it compare with the King & Country M18 Hellcat released some years back? Thamks

noli-poli, I don’t have the K&C M18 to compare the Britains mode with. I do have an old 21st Century Toys 1/32 scale M18, and the W. Britain model is obviously larger.

Thanks. Info is good enough to estimate. The C21 is 1:32. Can you possibly measure the track length and width?

Haha! No worries from my end Mike, lol! Glad you’ve decided to get an M18 and I look forward to seeing how you display yours 😎

I have been happy with my M18 right out of the box. It strikes me as a much improved effort over the Britains Sherman tanks and even their M3 Halftracks, so Britains is definitely upping their game. The model compares well to a First Legion AFV (though the M18’s fighting compartment is much more detailed than that in the FL M10). Hopefully we’ll get some crew figures specifically designed to go in the turret and hatches in the coming months.
Yes! We need a couple more tank crewmen wearing steel pots. The open turret TD guys wore those predominantly, for obvious reasons.....

Looks excellent, great layout

Have not gotten into Britains vehicles, am tempted by the US Halftrack, but a big pricy and not sure i like the 'style', they are a bit too clean for me.

My only critique on the Hellcat is that the cannon is fixed in a slightly elevated position. It's a pet peeve of mine when cannons or rifles on figures are elevated, as it looks like they're firing randomly into the air.

I would have preferred the Hellcat's cannon was level so that it looks more realistic if you are trying to display it in combat firing. Other than that it is a beautiful model with excellent detail, but hopefully in the future if cannons are not adjustable, then W. Britains will make them level with the ground.

Received my M18, and very surprised I missed this in the pics on this forum.

the musette bags and satchels hung on the turret sides have the shoulder straps replicated and bunched over and behind the bags. That's a very small but interesting detail.
The binocular cases in the racks are painted brown leather. All in all a very nice model.
I will add some exhaust grit on the exhaust screens (these radials were smoky engines).

And, I need to look at my MG .50. It won't tilt down in forward tilt. which is the way they rested them when left for immediate use. looks like my ammo box is too close.
all in all a very well done model, of a great tank
