Dear All
Welcome to a short and sweet update with regards to our Marder 2 which is due to ship and will be available this coming week. We had to make a couple of adjustments to the final production piece as follows:

1. The metal tracks were considered too fragile for overseas shipping and we have therefore switched to the more traditional PVC style which looks just as nice and were considered more durable. We will work on our next tracked piece having metal tracks but for the meantime it is what it is.

2. The Marder 2 was a tank hunter, absolutely no need for the cannon barrel to elevate as it was never used in the indirect fire role and we wanted to avoid barrel sag, which has been a cause for complaints and not just with us as a manufacturer. At the same time there is very little room in the fighting compartment once you have 2 crew on either side of the cannon breech. In fact if you do try to move the cannon left or right we found it scrapes the paint off the crew figures. It was therefore decided for this particular model to fix the cannon in the forward firing position with no left or right traverse. OK so there is a little less play factor but at the end of the day your expensive figures are not going to be minus a coat of paint either, something we thought was an equal trade off. I am sure this wont be an issue for the majority of you but we wanted to be as transparent as possible before we launch the product.

That's it for now, thank you for all your support and watch this space for more news later in the month when we release our November Warbirds.
