I really enjoyed it when it was 1st aired. I knew about the oil and steel industry, I did not know much about the start of the US electrical power industry.

Yep watching.....I never knew that Andrew Carnegie hated John D Rockafeller.
I thought the first ep with Vanderbuilt was the best one so far but its a good series.
 
Who has seen/watching this on the History channel ?
I'm enjoying it thoroughly great insight in to the US history.

I watched the first bit about Carnegie.because all I knew about him was the famous Carnegi Hall in America.......was impressed....waiting to watch the second half next week...it has not my interest....thess type of shows do noy normally intersst me but this one has....cheers TomB

It is an interesting series....Capitalism/Industrialism...... both good and evil.
 
Just watched part 4....That Johnstown flood was a terrible disaster,and the massacre at the steel works,
What a class act those Pinkertons are {eek3}

He funded libraries as well. The one in my hometown had a big smiling/scowling portrait of him on the wall.
