The mounted band of the Blues and Royals (1 Viewer)

Hello Martin,
Fascinating stuff. I've never seen nor heard a mtd band before. The music is quite different from a marching band which has a solid thumping martial sound from the bass drum. The kettledrums aren't very audible, are they?

A testament to the training and care that the horses receive. Brilliant! Walking along in one of the worlds busiest cities, cars whizzing by on either side and add to that the music being played and they just carry on.

As part of the Major General London Distric's inspection every year, the whole regiment line up across Hyde park and advance at the canter. If you can imagine the sound? The advance is halted by a single beat on the kettle drum!

The horses come first in everything.

The horses stay in step better than I ever did. Very impressive, nobody does it better than the Brits.
