the name treefrog (1 Viewer)

Hi Sammy,
The short answer is way back in 1999 or so, before I sold toy soldiers, I decided to sell vintage toys and things I purchased at local auctions on eBay. To sell properly on eBay I needed to register with my state as a business so I needed an official name. I never knew from week to week what I would be selling so I needed a name that wasn't too specific. I collect tree frogs and liked the alliteration of Treefrog Treasures and have kept the name ever since.
Every once in a while we get a phone call from someone asking what have in the shop and they can't believe we haven't a single tree frog for sale.;)
Regards,

Regards,

I wondered about the name too, but thought it easy to remember.

We are adding Schleich plastics to our lineup this week--just knights and American frontier for now but they DO offer animal replicas including a very nice tree frog so you never know ;). If we get requests for their animals we may yet offer the tree frog.:)

Sweet, are you going to sell the Smurf line to?

I don't know, do they make Marine Corps Smurf? Private Smurfy Smurf? Grenadier Smurf? Drill Sargeant Smurf? Hey, we're on to something!:D
Seriously we can special order anything from the catalog but I don't forsee Smurfs as regularly stocked items. But I have also learned to never say never.
Regards,

My Niece collects frogs, all over the place. A few years ago at a wargame convention I bought her 2 painted FROGS in 1798 French uniforms.Muskets, Knapsacks, Bicorne, bare feet and all.
French Frogs! Too cute. The guy had a artillery set too with Bullfrogs as the horse team pulling limber and cannon.
Wish I would have bought it.

Someone gave me a long-legged frog figurine, almost a foot tall as a shopwarming gift that stands in the window by the door and I have been thinking he'd look great in a Scots Guard uniform and hat. Sadly sewing frog clothes (or any other clothes for that matter!) is not one of my gifts.

I guess we can be grateful it was a treefrog and not a horny toad.

Maybe some Vampires too?
