The Pacific (1 Viewer)

absolutely zeroooooo comparison--will make that and everything else look like bozo's circus......................stryker

I did not take this response as anything personal, heck I missed being a Marine by six days. My buddy in High School bailed on me six days before signing in. I would have served all through peace time had I joined. I only saw a quick clip, I can't wait to see how it's going to compare. Nothing wrong with a Marine being passinate about one of the most toughest times in their History. :)

Does anyone have a date for the series yet?

Rob

The part of this series that fascinates me is the coverage of John Basilone. When I was in boot camp, the Marine Corps gave us history classes to appreciate the organization in which we were joining. John Basilone was one of the "stars" of WWII. This series should be awesome.
But speaking of neglected subjects in the Pacific War, I had an uncle who fought on New Guinea. The Marines are rightly remembered for Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Saipan, Iwo Jima and other places. The Army had their bits of Hell in the Pacific as well as did the Australians and New Zealanders.
Semper Fi!

Sorry Stryker,missed your post,thanks.

Looking forward to it very much.Bought a new 52" HD TV today for our family room. We gave our 37" which was fine to my sister in law as her TV croaked.
That was pretty easy to talk the wife into, and out we went for a larger replacement flatscreen. THE PACIFIC was certainly at the forefront of my mind as we were shopping.I guess I was just a little sneaky.
Great image Carlos! I think I'll repaint a few more Britain's too.

I have a feeling the table will be employed this March.

Nice pics of the Pacific war guys. I am keeping HBO waiting for the series to come on. I was hoping it would start next month.

Great one Harold.

Yes, I'm ready with my 60" flat screen. I'm not bragging, I'm just grateful I had the money a couple of years ago to get it.

I'll be subscribing to HBO for about 2 months and keep the Pacific series on my HD Tivo DVR FOREVER! LOL

Nice pics Harold as usual.

Here are some more I took of Britians, ONWTC and Figarti figures. The Long Tom pictured is an old Britians set pre-Figarti Long Tom. I took these pictures 2 1/2 years ago. Yes, these are reruns for those of you that have seen these back then.

I can't wait until I get my new Toy Room done and get some more dioramas up.
