Well it is almost a year and no new products from a series Real West.
Anyone working on this,Andy?
I know someone mention at the end of the month it will arrive new products from this series so can anyone tell us how many new products and what kind(indians, cowboys, blue soldiers, sherif, mounted figures,sets,...)?

I'm guessing this new series wasn't too popular, I don't know.

Personally, I was disappointed when I found out this new West series was pre-Civil War instead of the 1800s.

I know what you mean but to clarify the K&C figures are from the 1800's. From western movies and TV many people have become fixated on the 1870-1880 period. The great westward migration started well before the War Between the States. This was the period that established many attitudes towards Mexico, the Indians, etc. The post Civil War period just accelerated the movement. The term "manifest destiny" dates from arounnd the annexation of Texas - which is close to the time period of the K&C figures.

Oddly enough the Alamo is popular in many toy soldier lines, but the period after the fall of the Alamo to about Antietam just disappears. Unfortunately that's when the K&C figures fit in.

In 2010 released new figures of the Real West, I would be interested in this line, we are minority and non collection of World War II.:(:(:(

I seem to remember The Real West offerings being less than a year old. I think they came out in - I want to say February or March? The new RAF stuff is out in October and was just announced. Without any inside information, I feel like the window hasn't closed on K&C announcing them for 2010.

At first I too was a little put off by the fact they weren't post-Civil War figures, but the quality has put them on my "wish list". One of the reasons I haven't purchased TRW figures yet is that K&C has been releasing stellar stuff this year. I thought the TRW Cavalry was great, then I saw new Civil War Rebs and was blown away.

I've also prioritized completing ranges and getting retired figures first. I've been panicked the Alamo figures are going to start retiring, despite their popularity.

Finally, I'd like to see that the series is going to be supported with future releases before I jump in. I know that must be something that frustrates manufacturers, because it makes it hard to guage how popular something is.

On the other hand, I thought K&C released just the right amount of TRW figures for this range. Enough so you got both sides (I get irked when you only get one side of a war), but not too much that you can't complete the set.

Sorry to ramble...but I hope and believe K&C will release more TRW figures in 2010.

This range is actually about six months old, I remember having them show up in the nick of time (as usual thanks to the superb staff at K & C HK HQ) for a show I was doing in New Jersey in March.

I thought they were excellent figures, was not too sure how well they would sell. Five minutes after the show opened, one of my good customers walks up to my tables and asks "Do you have the new Real West figures from K & C yet?" and I then pointed them out to him, and he bought about 15 or 16 figures and I thought "Well, guess that answers that question"........they have been an excellent seller ever since, with the vast majority of customers commenting they like the fact that they are early west figures; look forward to more additions to this range.............

I have a couple of these figures and like them. I like having the luxury of being able to add the others at leisure and maybe will pick up a couple more in Chicago.

You know - with all the ranges of K&C figures out there - its kinda nice to have a few ranges move more slowly to collect !

same here!!!
I am a new K&C fan and this series will be my first collection.I like it to start from the begining of the series so i can build up a collection. But i am from Slovenia(Europe) and i do not wannt to buy piece by piece,so i am waiting what they will put new on the market so i will buy them all than,so i will pay one delivery and than next year another and etc.
But the reason i didnt buy this series yet is also because 8 figures is to small number for me for now(and i do not wannt to buy them doubles or triples of the same figures,at least not now because i do not know how this will developed).
When i see that this is a serious series like WW2,or CIW,...than i will buy them all and i will make a diorama and everything and than i will see how much the same type of figures i need.
That is why i hope that they will put new figures on the market. If they are not serious about this series than maybe it is better to collect John Jenkins or something else, because 8 figures it is very little and this is 5 indians and 3 soldiers it can not be played with this or make diorama or nothing. And i do hope when they will put new figures on the market that they will put them in more numbers like 8 new or something not 2 new and than whole 2010 nothing and than 2 new in 2011,...this is not good.

Could be released within a subset of the real West Mounted Police?, A diorama of Canadian Indians and redcoats!, Is new to me I would :D:D::D

I agree, I really like these but am glad it has moved slow as I have been buying alot of other items. When they do get released I will continue to buy all of them!
