The Richmond Cup is the annual competition within the Household Cavalry for the best turned out trooper. Here is an example of the kind of attention to detail that is required to win. Remember there are no short cuts just spit and polish.

Hope Obee is looking in - I read recently that he said that no-one polishes UNDER his boots! Should have said - no-one except the HC.

I assume he mounts the horse BEFORE putting his boots on Martin? jb

Yes Jonny as you know it becomes a bit of a team effort, everyone pitching in if they can. But there's only one trooper on the horse!
Obviously I always think the winners should wear a red tunic.:)
