Well, I like dark sci-fi, end of the world, post-apocalypse type movies, so you all have convinced me to see this one. Besides, I like Viggo. He was great in A History of Violence and that Russian mob movie. -- Al

Finally saw this movie. Found it the bleakest, most depressing, colorless movie I have ever seen and I LOVED IT! Don't know what else to say except it left me stunned. Just an unbelievably realistic look into the future. -- Al

I haven't seen the movie but did read the book. I enjoyed it. The positive I read into it was the love between father and son. A father who gets on with the job of being a parent.
The negative is the sense of society loss. We had it all and we screwed it up.

Although different in quality and tone, in some ways, it reminds me of the old movie Soylent Green with Charlton Heston.
