The Rumpler (1 Viewer)

Simple but very nice , how did you get the turning effect on the propeller?

Thanks everyone for the likes and the comments, particularly the guys who are not WW1 aviation people but have dropped by anyway. I promise that I will try to get excited when the next Panzer comes out!

Jack never mind your finger - did you leave the hand brake on!!!!???

Looks like you will need a replacement for the Rumpler pretty soon at this rate if you keep leaving it unattended like that with the engine running!

Next WW1 plane by the way guys is an Allied plane in British and US markings - wonder what this one could be?!

Kind Regards Vicki

Funny you should say that because we photographed it in my back yard and there was a bit of a wind about. A couple of times I thought it might take to the air.

A beautiful model. One of the treasures of my collection.

There are many good WW1 planes on the market(especially from JJD),but the Rumpler is my favourite.Very cool,Jack.I'm jealous.

Love that Rumpler, Martin. It's such a neat model and it's rarity makes it that much neater. TGM sure hit a home run with this. -- Al

Thanks Marc ... although the figures are a touch out of focus and as you mentioned to me recently, that just infuriates you!

Your dio is a small artwork!

its still good marty, great composition... thats half the battle won :)

cheers

Interesting what different folks see when they look at a diorama. Obviously, we all notice a nice model/figures and terrific scenery. However, my first thought was, "hey, great lighting, very natural!" All Martin needs now, is a cloud of dust erupting behind the prop.:wink2:

Good observation Moe but the problem with creating the cloud of dust effect behind the prop is that Jack might attempt to create this effect by using a hand held fan and this could result in the Rumpler ending up in that nice patch of greenery in the background! {eek3} Of course using special affects will get the same result without the fear that the aerodynamics of the rumpler will be tested! {sm4}
