The Russians-WWI (1 Viewer)

View attachment 114987 View attachment 114988 I do not have Set GW 51"Supply Wagon" nor a photo. It consists of two oxen pulling a four wheeled cart loaded with supplies, together with a walking drover and seated Russian with whip. The first photo is that of a German supply wagon in winter which is what GW51 would look like with Russian uniforms and bases earlier posted in this thread according to my recent conversation with Len. The second photo is that of GWD10, a larger set commissioned by Rod Key from the Isle of Wright, who Martyn mentioned earlier in this thread. I have never seen set GW51 and if anyone has a photo, please post it for us. Otherwise, this completes Trophy's "The Russian Army of World War One, The Road to Tannenberg". Hope you enjoyed this thread. Tommy

Hi Tommy

It looks like a set of GW51 appeared on Ebay way back in 2007 and sold for £86.95

Trophy GW51: The Supply Wagon WWI (#220177819988) £86.95

I can't find any other reference or pictures to the set

Cheers

Martyn:)

Great stuff Bill! Between you and Martyn, you must have virtually everything Len ever produced . . . you gentlemen should consider getting together and doing a book.:wink2:

What a good idea from Louis. With Trophy now either getting in very short supply on the secondary market - or out of the price range of many - a book showing all (or at least most) of what Len produced - would be one way that folks with more modest means could just open up - and see lots of these wonderful little jewels for themselves, any time they want.

Alternatively - they can just look back through these posts! - Thanks lads. johnnybach

Thanks Martyn for the information about the last set. I appreciate the kind words Johnnybach. The foot figures show a date of 2000 and are numbered 1-7 if you come across any. Tommy
