The Scots are coming! (1 Viewer)

Why Johnny, somehow I pictured you in something a tad more sedate, say a fully restored Hawker Hunter (the very thing for those quick cross-Channel commutes). ^&grin

Herself, bless 'er, has no such mechanical skill or appetites. To her, a clutch means something quite different (thankfully). Her skills are more oriented to the garden, which is a good thing as I share the same ability in that regard with the Duke of Wellington. "If there is anything in this world of which I know absolutely nothing, it is agriculture." Implements of the land (very handily also doubling as Angry Mob Supplies) therefore make excellent gifts.

Could this all be construed as the dreaded thread drift, perchance?

Well - Sarge - I am slowing down a tad these days - so only kick in the supercharger if we are down to our last slice or two for toast and time is short. (our baker is 4km away! and closes at noon on the dot!) I must admit to driving something a little slower when "La Commandante" wants to wave to the crowds, (which is often - bless 'er!)

As you suggest - I do so love a good bit of digging.

I dig Ray Charles, Vera Lynne, a good cover drive from Dennis Compton, Brylcream, Brains Bitter Beer, The Ink Spots quartet, Vosene (medicated) shampoo - and most of all , a blast on a 650 Norton!!! ( Ah! those were the days!)^&grin

Not sure what a "Thread Drift" is - but maybe construe that it is not something to do with a brave defence of a GB outpost by "the few", heavily outgunning cave-men with sharp implements - a la Rorkes?

As for the gifts - well - you did ask.;)

Keep up the good work - and I'll keep taking the tablets! johnnybach%^V
