I received the first of John’s Sd.Kfz. 251 Halftrack models the other day - the Sd.Kfz. 251/7 Mittlerer Pionierpanzerwagen - and John did not disappoint! True to his standards for his WWII AFVs, the vehicle is wonderfully detailed and painted. It goes together with minimal assembly. My only gripe is that the bridge sections and their racks are one piece that hangs on the side of the vehicle where they can easily fall off. A little poster tack helps keep them in place.

I’ve got my halftrack displayed in a vignette with some First Legion figures. Now to wait for the next two Sd.Kfz. 251 variants!

Very true! I ordered all three, but really have no idea how I’ll display them all… However, I’m glad John decided to ship one each month instead of all three at once as it’s a little easier on my bank account, lol!

Ordered and very slowly paid off all three mines in the post as we chat,as per usual mate beautifully displayed.
Been asking and after one of these for year's glad John tackled it looks superb.
Is the bridge section deployable?

Looks great, Tman. I have old 1:18 scale version of this vehicle. One of my favorites!
As always, your display makes it look even better.

Rob, I’ve got that 1/18 scale SdKfz 251/7 Pionierpanzerwagen from 21st Century Toys as well! Purchased it something like 16-17 years ago at Walmart and it’s a great vehicle! 21st smartly did a whole series of mods on their standard SdKfz 251 model with the Stuka su Fuss rocket launcher and SdKfz 251/22 variant with the Pak 40. Actually, I wish John had done the 2cm AT gun on his Pionierpanzerwagen like 21st did with theirs.

And Wayne, the bridge sections are not deployable, or at least I’ve not tried to pry them off. Those sections and their racks came packed as one piece and are mounted to the vehicle by basically hanging them off the sides. They tended to fall off easily, so I used some tiny bits of poster tack to secure them better in place.

Kilos, you’re right, I’ve got to do a larger display sometime! I’ve got enough of the JJD and First Legion Battle of the Bulge German AFVs and figures, just need a new 12”x24” terrain mat (or larger size) and most importantly, a spot to put it, lol!

{sm4} I've got the one with the rocket launchers as well and the standard grey version. Three in total but never saw the version with the Pak 40. They did make some great stuff back in the day.
