Hi Paulo, Some nice models you have there. Btw, I just realised I didn't answer your earlier question.

I would place them in this order overall:

1 Corgi Aviation
2 Dragon
3 Witty Wings
4 Old Matchbox
5 IXO

However I have to say that Witty Wings are still improving and their more recent molds such as the Zero are better than Corgi's.

Dragon has better panel lines than Corgi but they do have more fiddly bits that fall off their models.

Matchbox have some good models but none have undercarriage so must be displayed on stands, and I prefer my aircraft on wheels.

I have a number of IXO models that other companies haven't done yet such as the Me-110 etc. Their panel lines are terrible and their detail is not good, but they are better than nothing

Thanks. On Ixo I am especially interested in their Russian planes, I see no Russian planes done by anyone else, why? Also French and Italian ones. I like to have all WWII nationalities to be historically representative, so to speak...But I found it very difficult to deal with Ixo's small parts, had fo fix a number of them with tack, ridiculous. I have just received my two first Dragon planes, let's see how assembly goes tonight... Good tip on Witty's Zeros. Do you rate them better than Dragon's?
Now there are Hobby Master and others coming up, exciting aviation stuff...

Hobby Master has a few new items coming out. If they continue like this Dragon and Corgi could have some stiff competition.

I ordered both of these, even though I have 16 of the CDC Shermans! CDC tanks are extremely nice with a high metal content. The Dragon tanks are certainly in the same category as CDC, and somewhat more detailed, mainly because they are basically plastic. In my opinion, Dragon has set a high standard for excellence. The main difference I see between CDC and Dragon is that Dragon has more detail on the small things, such as - the "handle" for the shovel is "wood" colored. On the CDC Shermans the tools are the same color as the overall camo of the tank. The CDC PZIV is a beauty to behold. You really have to get your hand on one of these to appreciate the quality. Also, the CDC armor sold for #24.95 when they came out, and quickly went up in price as the tanks became more scarce. Of course, they were mainly metal. I have about 50 of the CDC armor, and almost the same number of Dragon 1/72. Very pleased with both. It will be interesting to see the success of Admiral Toys in the 1/72 realm. Their first few issues are very well done, with high metal content. Hobby Master is also entering the 1/72 scale, next year. MRC produces a nice line of 1/72, but very, very, light. Anyway, looking forward to getting my Shermans early this week.

I got my Dragon Shermans today, and yes, they are stunning! Certainly CDC quality, but, w/out the metal content of CDC, or the Matchbox Shermans. Still, a great buy. No matter how much I try, I just can't keep up with my spouse. She made one B through two college degrees. Straight A's in CALCULUS! That means she has no problem figuring out how much my little hobby costs! 23 years and counting!
