The situation in North Africa (1 Viewer)

I too have stock options.
Sorry, I think you miss the point, it's not the stock options part, it's the 1.6 Billion part.

I completely agree. Living in Minnesota, where United Health Care is headquartered, we have seen many headlines in the Minneapolis and St. Paul newspapers over the past several years. Mike Hatch, the MN Attorney General, has been on their case repeatedly. The company has a record of excessive and outrageous perks to their managers and board members, many of whom's names you would recognize. The company's managers and board of directors have a history of creed and glut. I hope they all have to lose their health insurance (a most unlikely wish to say the least) and have to declare bankruptcy due to medical bills. The $1.6 billion quote from the CEO of United was, "I think that $1.6 billion is enough." So, this leads me to believe that $1.59 billion was not enough. What greed we are accepting.

The way petrol prices are going i might just have to buy two dingos and strap them too my feet as a pair of roller skates:) ,lets hope polystone dosent contain any petrolium based ingredients.

Same in the UK

Just filled up my first ever plus £60 petrol tank. That is around £0.97 per litre - in dollars $1.77 per litre.

Andy, please make those dingos strong.

Perhaps we will have to fight to see who drives them.....LOL :D

Yes certainly stock options and benefits to middle managers are different

then those provided to those at the top. The majority of the 300 millionares

I spoke of were middle management that helped build the company.

The excess at the top is just greed. One fellow who now is the top share

holder with 16 million shares was never involved in the operation. He put

together the group of investors that provided the original 5 million seed

money. The investors were paid back with interest and left the picture....

this fellow who we had never heard of just showed up one day as a co-

founder......now he is the only one left. My guess is 50 years from now his

will be the only name visible.

No, I didn't miss that. I think that's pretty offensive. I'd like to think the shareholders or the big institutional shareholders will do something.

Shareholders are nearly powerless, and even the big institutions rarely

have more then a seat on the board. Its rare to have someone with the

power of say Warren Buffett with his position in Coca Cola.

Most of the large boards are hand picked with various Ceo's trading

positions on boards one for the other.
