As most of you know I collect the WB Classic Glossy ranges (Redcoats, Bluecoats, Redcoats-Bluecoats (FIW) and Petticoats) which are among my favorite toy soldiers to collect. I recently received the new present day Grenadier Guard 44037 from my dealer safely packed in the Museum Style box. When I took him out this is what I found: a warped base/figure, bent bayonet and flaking paint. I have had the flaking paint problem on several of my recent additions from this series and it appears that there is no white undercoating being applied. I know WB has added new factories and wonder if this might be the source. I am sending this on to Richard and am sure the situation will be corrected. If anyone else has had these or similar issues let me know and I'll pass them on to WB.

I haven't got many of the newer redcoats but have found that the bayonet on the club exclusive black watch figure to be not as good a quality as the earlier redcoats figures!! Ive got 8 & there all the same :( The quality control has gone down recently, im hoping its just a minor problem !!!

Cheers Craig

Not what I would expect, but at least the guy may make an interesting subject for a picture exiting a pub or something? :D
