Watched The Train with Burt Lancaster for fourth or fifth time yesterday. A classic that holds up well over time for me. Noticed an American M8 bringing up the rear of the German truck convoy at end of the movie.

Watched The Train with Burt Lancaster for fourth or fifth time yesterday. A classic that holds up well over time for me. Noticed an American M8 bringing up the rear of the German truck convoy at end of the movie.

Saw this in the theaters when it was released and it has remained one of my favorite movies. What's not to like, a war movie with steam trains. Great photography of the trains and landscape with authentic aircraft, to boot. Will watch it whenever it's on or whenever I have the DVD player working. -- Al
