Today I am posting the first pictures of my KNC001 conversion.
from a D-Day Sherman into a Sherman " CALLIOPE" belonging to the 40th Tank Battalion /14th Armored Division/ Germany March 1945 near the town of Obermodern.
Still a lot of work to do on the tank before putting it in its diorama: - work to do: more weathering, adding details, extra equipment, ammunition boxes and cylinders, Calliope rockets, filling up holes etc, etc ….

very very nice work. Looking forward to see the finished work.
Did you scratch build the rocket tubes or get it from kit ?

Terrific job! Looks like the Figarti version from long ago. Did you use ball point pen springs for the coils? Outstanding conversion.

In the K&C collector issue N° 25 (2009)the article about my K&C dioramas mentions a quote of mine " Think twice before you throw anything away…. you might just need it sometime!"
So in my box of spare parts I have loads and loads of spare parts I gathered during my 60 years of diorama making. Here I used some Figarti and also some Monogram parts from a Screamin Mimi I built and converted decades ago. The still to add details such as ammunition boxes , cylinders, rockets and other equipment will all be scratch built. (Detail, most of the the markings on the tank are not decals, but are all hand painted )

The tubes are off a Figarti Sherman which was converted back to a normal Sherman.
