1874 they were going to buy two row boats from an Irish man called paddy. Paddy was most upset when he was told by the welshman his boats were now full of leeks!!!

Nothing wrong with my boats you ignorant welshman paddy replied not understanding the welshman meant leeks not leaks!! and, indignantly took them back. That was the end, before the beginning, of the welsh fleet!!!!
