The Walking Dead (2 Viewers)

"Dawn of the Dead" is my favorite zombie movie. Both the original which still holds up well and even the remake. "Return of the Living Dead" is also a hoot if you like a bit of comedy mixed in.

I liked them both as well, thought the remake was very, very well done, fast moving zombies, not good...........some pretty comical moments in the remake, a good take.......

another episode in the decline ,,more dialog,,family problems,,lingering closeups of the normal ones,,less walkers and no boned out CRAWLERS,,id rather watch the old lady with the eye in "drag me to hell."

They took the story to a new location with some chance of exposition as to what happened. Good. I was afraid it would be repeats of attacks on the quarry camp.

Can I ask what 'Drag me to hell ' is like, not seen it but ads looked good.

Not the worst horror film, but not a great one. Basically a gypsy woman puts a curse on a bank worker for not granting an extension on her mortgage. A convoluted morality tale from the director of the Evil Dead/Spiderman films. Watch "Evil Dead 2" instead. Or if you want something more modern, I liked "Jennifer's Body" a campy horror film. Again not great, but still enjoyable.

The "last " episode,,55 minutes of dialog and character study,,a cheesy localized explosion transparent enough that the trees beneath were still green and no zoms,,crawlers until the last minutes,,I now want the remaining "actors" to get bit,,,I would have stayed in the bunker rather then stay with that bunch,,,otherwise I enjoyed it.

This is a tv series not a movie. Constant zombie attacks would get very old. If you dont care about the characters you dont care if/when they get bit/eaten.

I like it when they find a safe haven and dig in. That is what I would do.

Their struggles to establish and maintain effective social, leadership, familial, legal and economic order among themselves while keeping safe from roaming walkers is what I find most interesting about the show. Its relatable to actual difficulties in life that we all go through --- minus the zombies -- although Im sure we have all had friends and co-workers who tried to suck the life out of us. :)

Love of life is on each day at one PM,,Of course I want them killed ,dismembered, eaten,,chewed up and undigested,,,Social order is the ruination of society..as far as co workers most should be killed and eaten also starting with management.,friends in need are a pest as W C Fields said.

Have a beer. Hug a Teddy Bear. Or, as Sgt Hulka might have said "Lighten up, Francais". :)

Ratings are looking good:

The anticipation for the season finale garnered six million viewers, according to the network, and it received the highest ratings of any basic cable show, ever, in the all-important 18-49 demographic.

The only worth while part of stripes was the bar mudfight,,hulka was a REMf

You'll have to translate. I can only guess at the last two letters of REMF. :)

Stripes had its moments for Bill Murray and John Candy fans.

Life is too short. Laugh more. Bemoan less.

"Dance of the Dead" and "Dead Snow" are a couple of decent zombie flicks.
