After contact by the Panzer Aufklarung units, the Panzers move forward to engage the enemy.

Having learned how cunning and devious "Ivan" can be in his unconventional warfare, the Panzergrenadiers take no chances and go in hard to "investigate" buildings:

Short on armored resources, Der Panzer Graf, Oberst Hyacinth Graf von Strachtwitz commanding a joint 16th Panzer and 24th Panzer kampfgruppe, orders valuable Panzeraufklarung in leicthe SPWs to sweep around the flank.





Their former kradschutzen comrades are ordered to support them and wonder how exposed they will be as they slice across the steppes:

As the firefight intensifies, reinforcements and resupply are called up:

Precious fuel, ammo and other supplies require close air defence from a Flakvierling.

Thanks. About 40% of it is from purchasing a HB forum member's collection over about 18 months. He had a pretty extensive collection of the originals, including the 515 Panzer III.

Once again Bewegungskrieg (maneuver warfare) wins the day, and a new schwerpunkt erupts on the enemy's right and the Wehrmacht is off to the races again towards their destiny at Stalingrad!
