Any reports or pics from the show?

The wife and I just returned from the show. Sorry, I have no pics or video, but I saw a couple of guys who were capturing the action on their phones.

We saw a decent turnout with some bargains to be had. We paid the early bird price for entry, and I picked-up a couple of rare K&C pieces for my collection. There were some vintage 1960's 1970's toy soldier sets and accessories in their original boxes. The sets looked complete and they are definitely not easy to find these days.

It was a good time....we will definitely attend next year.

Whirlwind of a show, land Friday am, leave Sunday PM. Say hi to a lot of people in between and enjoyed the chats. Also got in an updated tour of one of the greatest toy soldier/militaria and all around collections in the world. No complaints, but tired. I only wish I lived closer!

Also found a few neat items.

Back in the office today! Just VERY TIRED from the flight out on Friday morning (fighting the crowds of Spring Breakers at the airport - UGH) and leaving on the red-eye Sunday to be home Monday morning!

Some photos I have uploaded to Facebook and some to SmugMug thus far! Still have a few more to go, but will get there eventually! A bit of editing to do, but you may catch a few funny ones in there from time to time! I'll always say....you just have to take the time to go to these events, we definitely have some fun when we gather in person!

Great to see some familiar faces and meet some new people in person as well!

That Durbar collection in your first few photos on SmugMug looked quite breathtaking.

Thanks for the photos.

May have to consider going next year.

Hi Julie,

thank you very much for posting. I truly enjoyed your report on SmugMug. Great summery of the event. I always enjoy these show reports and can not understand why they become more and more scarce. I see a contradiction between members to complain about "The dying Hobby" and the noticable lack of will to upload stories and pictures about these events. I feel that this used to be much better in the past. Do not know why this is the case. Even watching from the distance I was always interested about the US Shows.
If this is the Forum where Collectors around the world share their Hobby, than I would love to see reports and pictures beeing uploades here rather than YOUTUBE, FACEBOOK etc. But this is just my opinion ...
Thank you very much again
Kind Regards from far, far away ...
Wolfgang

Thanks for posting your photos, Julie! In the first pictures in the album, there are some classic toy soldiers on display. I thought I saw a nice collection of Vertunni figures in the one photo. Those are a treasure!

Prost!

Seff was at the event doing a video and as soon as he has the link ready for his YouTube video I will share that.

Julie
Seff is the man, goes out of his way to make you feel like you're actually at the show, kudos to him.

Seff and Carlos are the go to guys in this regard.

No Carlos this year! Realized I didn't see him until end of the Show! Usually he attends as he visits family in the area as well.

Julie
