The West End at war - the London blitz (1 Viewer)

Rob

I thought the level of detail such as where the individual bombs landed on the map and the 'chits' for the bomb damage reports were especially interesting. It shows how Buckingham Palace was 'straddled' for example.

The Blitz certainly made a mess and the West End was, I understand, spared compared to the East End and the dock areas.

Just a look around at the 'new architecture' compared to the old (and cf Paris that wasn't bombed) says a lot.

Hi Kevin, how are you?
Thanks for this one, it's now on my favorites folder.
