Randy,
You have a great knack for blending figures from different sets into beautiful vignettes. You should be a professional diorama builder but that would probably take the enjoyment out of it for you wouldn't it.

As a child I wanted to be a movie director. Now I get to do that with very cooperative actors:D

Speaking of movie directing, does anybody else have notions of pet movie scripts you'd love to write, produce, direct or all of the above? Think of all the war related movies that have never been made that you'd love to see.

We really need a good movie on the French & Indian War. Something the caliber of Saving Private Ryan would be wonderful. Last of the Mohicans was good but there is still room for more.

The visual impact of SPR and Band of Brothers has sort of set a new standard for movies in our favorite genre, and I am always thinking of, "wouldn't it be great to see an SPR style movie done about ___________" scenarios.

Also, though not a terribly popular movie according to the root canal thread, I really like the audio treatment of Thin Red Line, which sort of lacked much of a soundtrack and instead used a lot of ambient jungle noise. The same was true of that more recent Colin Farrell movie about the New World. Really cool idea I thought.

Although I would very much appreciate any new movie about the FIW period I would probably be a bit concerned how far they would go with realism nowadays. Just thinking about the stabbing, hacking, scalping and whatever went on during those battles. That brought up to a level of realism like they showed us in "Saving Private Ryan" would deliver some drastic scenes.

When admiring my little and beautiful glossy or matte finished figures, only once in a while I get reminded of the brutal reality that was around when those little characters were real.
