New show on MGM+ called "The Winter King" based on Bernard Cornwell's The Warlord Chronicles. This is the first book of the 3 book series on the King Arthur saga. It's pretty good, reminds me of "The Last Kingdom" series. I watched the 2 episodes that have aired so far.{bravo}}

I read the trilogy many years ago and enjoyed it. The series has a low budget feel to it, though. It's not awful but like watching Game of Thrones as put on by the local high school AV club.

I think the feel of the show is ok. It's suppose to be a little dingy and dark as they are portraying the beginning of the Dark Ages. Roman's have left, Angles, Saxons and other German tribes coming over. Waring constantly. Hope it gets better for you.

Agree but as per usual the actors don't look dingy.
