The Zulu Wars (1 Viewer)

Sorry, did someone call for unreserved and unashamed groveling?

I'm your man! Thanks for the recommendation Fred. :p
I'm that pathetic in my whining that there are no levels too low for me to stoop.

Although WWII is my primary range for collecting, I also like the Zulu War period. Breaks up the pattern of Olive Drab and Field Gray on the shelves.

And I can go one better on the 2009 release excuse (25th K&C Anniversary).

The 24th Foot being released on K&C's 24th Anniversary in 2008 would be a nice touch.

So, first 6 months of 2007 spent trying to wear down Andy's resistance levels to yet another range of figures, second 6 months of 2007 designing and sculpting for a December 2007 K&C UK show release - figures available early 2008 in time for the 24th Anniversary.

Now with a compelling marketing strategy like that, it's surely got to be a dead cert hasn't it?

Sounds like a wonderful plan to me, Simon. For a while there I thought my plea for help from across the pond would go unanswered, where are you, Rob? . How about a "Zulu War is Great for '08" campaign. Let the unabashed groveling begin, more is always better.:D

If we see K&C do the zulu wars again I would like to see it in gloss and in 54mm

We are all petitioned out I think Fred! Our campaign was relentless for about a year i think :)

The paras thing really caught on because it seemed to gather a lot of support from the forum. We all kept the campaign going by dropping the words BRITISH PARAS into just about any message we were posting.

It was all very subliminal :D

Now if i was to choose another subject to campaign for it may be FALLSCHIRMJAGER IN CRETE. ;) but shhh don't tell anyone.

Hey Lt!

On the Pictures thread, Andy say 'no' to Zulu wars for 2007 due to a rather full production plate.
2008 is the target to aim for then. :D

I'm also with James on the Fallschirmjager. I missed out on the first sets and they're getting a bit pricey now.

If I were really disciplined, I could start saving my pennies throughout 2007 in the hope for an 08 release. Oh, to be that strong willed....:p

Simon

James and Simon, alright then it's Zulu War and Fallschirmjaegers for '08, we all understand Andy has a full plate for '07, but it never hurts to plan ahead. By the way, are you Brits hung up on paratroopers, is some sort of fetish maybe? Not that there's anything wrong with that.:D

Fred

LOL :D

Apart from the silkiness I think I like the idea of the paratrooper as an elite soldier, dropped behind enemy lines, loaded up with portable equipment and not much else.
Since I watched A Bridge too Far as a kid i've always admired the airborne troops.

James

Hey Fred i'm here at last, sorry about that!.I have collected Zulu stuff from Trophy and ANI and its all great stuff. If you have a campaign i will happily lend my voice(although Andy may be sick of it by now!)

Easy, love the idea of Crete.Would be my next choice too.Could be another crusade for 2008.Although lets just whisper it for now....really don't want to P*** Andy off!!!

I've just heard a soft whoosh over my house,is it Santa on his sleigh or could it be a Horsa on the way to deliver us PARATROOPS!!!

Can't wait for 2007.

Rob

It's too early to worry about 2008, heck we've just made it through 2006 and we'll have to plan our purchases for 2007 so 2008 is just too far off. As I plan for 07, I realize that will hard to do. My prime wants will be the Storch and the British Paratroopers (and all other accessories that Andy may make with those), then WW I. After that, it will be all secondary. Yeah, right :D

Yeah i'm only kidding about 2008!.I'm trying to work out how i'm going to pay for all in 2007.Paras,Storch,Charge of,WW2,WW1 its going to be difficult.

All joking aside i can't see KC doing Zulu stuff for a while but if they do do it one day i'm sure it would be cool.It does sound like Andy has an interest in the subject and that is obviously a big bonus.

Oh com'on Rob, don't let Brad intimidate you with his warbird whining and camel cuddling, besides he always gets what he wants:rolleyes: now it's time for the unwashed masses to be heard, Zulu War and Fallschirmjagers, com'on pick up the chant, it's never too early to plan ahead, we just want Andy to know what we're thinking so he can do a proper job of it when the time is right:D Right quick that is.

Fred

FALLSCHIRMJAGER,FALLSCHIRMJAGER,FALLSCHIRMJAGER!!!!!!!

Fred,Easy,Rob-the Crusading trio.I'm on board.
