As the title states, I got my first 2 mahogany aircraft ,off ebay. Toys and Models Corporation distributed these and I am very pleased as to their quality. I got a Fairey RN Swordfish with torpedo in 1/32 scale and a DH 4 Dehavilland 2 seat bomber with U.S.markings in 1/32 also. I got them on deal and now I am ready for the new Warbird collecting adventure. Those that have these type planes, is there anything special for cleaning the painted surface? There is some residual dirt I would like to get rid of........Michael

Those that I have don't have a dirt problem (except for dust) but because it's wood I would be very careful. You might want to a model shop or woodworking shop to inquire about this. They may be able to help. How about sending some photos? I'm sure we'd like to see them.

I find eucalyptus oil is really good at removing dirty marks from most objects without harming them (it's especially good for book covers), so I guess it would work ok on those aircraft of yours.
