But I have promises to keep
And miles to go before I sleep"
----Robert Frost
Two members of the 114th Pennsylvania Zouaves ready their respective instruments of war for the upcoming battle outside the town of Gettysburg, PA July 1-3, 1863
Thank you all for your liking this scene. Once again I was inspired by Winslow Homer who often used only 2 figures in a scene to tell a story. This one is called the "Brierwood Pipe". The Zouave on the left is shown carving one for himself while his friend who already has one looks on.
I just love Winslow Homer's work Randy.
I have long wanted to do more sets that would reflect the non combat activities of Civil War soldiers. I think it is easier to tell a story that everyone can relate to
with only a few figures.
I can't wait to see more of your vignettes.
All the Best,
Ken
