Things that I really like (3 Viewers)

The Lakers are playing with house money. No expectations with the injuries. I'll watch and hope for the best but if they get blown out, life goes on. There is always the Dodgers.
they just announced Kevin Durant was out tonight...maybe we will win one game...

Well, we’re not getting shut out this series… the broom is back in the closet… Kennard crushed it tonight… he was like a sniper… Ayton got the points and the rebounds to help him…Old Man River even had a good game… glad they won a game….

The Lakers were locked in. Almost everyone played above expectations. Love him or hate him, it's pretty amazing to see LeBron still playing at that level. He is clearly past his prime and sometimes runs out of gas, but he still has his moments. If the Lakers stay ahead in this series, they may hold Luka back. I haven't heard much about his status.

I'm pretty sure Durant will be back Tuesday night...

they really stretch out these Conference first round series...
Game 7 is on May 3rd...
that's 2 weeks of rest for anyone injured and on the bench right now...

for now...I would give Kennard all the time on the court he can handle...

"The Mummy." Can't say that I loved it, but they conjured up some similarities to The Exorcist, Poltergeist, and The Evil Dead. It's going to bomb at the box office, though, because there is no specific demographic for this type of movie. The violence is also over the top. I say that as someone who doesn't cringe at the typical Halloween-type slasher movie but there were several scenes that were unwatchable. Poor Granny. The Mummy/demon really didn't care for her character.

While I do not have high expectations for the Bruins, I'm all in ..... for now! ;)

B.
They played well for 53 minutes; too bad hockey is a 60 minute game; actually, Swayman stood on his head for 53 minutes, then the floodgates opened, the Bruins have 2 defensemen who aren't AHL quality, nevermind NHL quality, those yahoos in Buffalo after booing the Sabres for 2 plus periods went home happy. Must be inspiring to be in that building and look up at the rafters and see all the Sabres championship banners hanging there, does "Stanley Cup running up" twice count as a worthy banner, asking for a friend.

At least the Celtics looked good; they rolled the 76ers, blew them out.

If they go on to win this series, oh Lord please no, the Knicks will be waiting. Maybe this year when the Celtics can throw three big bodies out there so they won't get outrebounded they can somehow beat the Knicks.

We'll see, one series at a time.

Massive rainfall in Southwest Texas over the past couple of days.

It has caused some flooding and inconvenience.

However, it reminds me one of one my favorite movie quotes from Denzel Washington in “The Equalizer”:

“When you pray for rain, you gotta deal with the mud too….”

Knicks fans outside MSG after they beat the Hawks in game one "KNICKS IN FOUR!! KNICKS IN FOUR!! KNICKS IN FOUR!!"..........

Knicks fans outside MSG after they lost to the Hawks in game two...............crickets.

Should have been "KNICKS IN FIVE!! KNICKS IN FIVE!! KNICKS IN FIVE!!"............

Funniest part is not a single one of those fans has seen the Knicks play in the finals, never mind actually win a championship.

Youth really is wasted on the young.

Deetroit and the Nuggets also lost game one, Deetroit is the #1 seed in the East.

I still think the East comes down to either Deetroit or the Knicks.

Regardless, whoever comes out of the East will get rolled by either OKC or San Antonio, San Antonio has the whole "tanking to get the best player" act down to a science.

Wemby continues to prove you can play defense, score and not turn the ball over.

Nobody outside of San Antonio cares but last night he had 41 points, 18 rebounds, 3 blocks and zero turnovers.

Of his 700 rebounds this season 575 are on the defensive end.

Most importantly the Spurs are 26-2 since February 2 (twice as many wins as OKC and LA in that same time). That is all thanks to Wemby and his offense AND more importantly his defense.

The extended playoff schedule likely works to the Lakers' advantage at LeBron's age. Some talk Luka could come back mid-series but I still doubt it. Even if he does, he likely will be rusty.

yes...2 weeks to play a 7 game series is beneficial for the ailing Lakers...plus letting Lebron's advanced age get some extra time to catch his breath...

The latest I heard is Durant might play tonight. Reaves might be back before Luka. My guess is neither play in this series unless it goes the distance.

that's about the same way I see it...except they had a 4-6 week prognosis on Reaves..
and yes...Durant will probably play tonight...
not trying to sound goulish...
but I hope he's not 100%...

They said Durant's injury would ordinarily take 2-3 weeks to recover from. So I doubt he is 100%. He may end up not even playing. My expectations for the Lakers are not high but I do think this is a 50-50 series at this point.

The 76ers shot lights out from the 3 point line, the Celtics shot 25% from the 3 point line, series tied 1 game a piece.

The Bruins went up 4-0 then held on for dear life and won 4-2, series tied 1 game a piece.

It's fun to be involved in both the NHL and NBA playoffs, if either team advances, great, if not, life goes on.

And the Spurs lost, their center cracked his dome off the court and has a concussion, might miss the rest of the series..............

Doug...have to be delighted with last nights game...no Doncic...no Reaves...rarely does "next man up" work out this well...Kennard...Smart and Lebron really stepped up...even Hachimura...lights out from the 3...46% as a team...still a lot of series to go...and going on the road Friday...glad I currently have Prime...but it will most likely be on my local channel as I'm only 35 miles from Houston...was hoping the Lakers would win 1 of the first 2 at home...they really seem focused...hope it lasts...

maybe you were right about Reaves...see link...

So after the Celtics blew the 76ers out in game one, it was "Celtics look dominant, this series is over" but after losing game 2 because the 76ers hit their 3's and the Celtics did not, it's "The Celtics are in BIG trouble"................

JFC.

And if Maxey isn't the most annoying pain in the balls in the NBA with his flexing and histrionics on the court, I don't know who is.

The Lakers are locked in. Everyone is playing well and hard. Smart was a beast. With that said, Houston is not very good. If this Lakers team were playing OKC, they would still be losing by 20+ in a sweep. But I'll take it for the time being.
