While browsing for some Wagner music for the New Year I decided to put WW2 in the search engine. And to my surprise, I came across about a dozen original Third Reich album recordings from that time period. A lot of the songs are of good quality for downloading on the I-Pod. Downloaded four songs already and the sound quality is excellent. Some songs do show the age of the recording but they have a wide selection of good quality songs to chose from. And they represent the different fighting branches from the German Military.:)
Check it out.

I have quite a good collection of german recordings all of great quality from tomahawk productions based in the UK. Brian apart from being a nice guy is a font of knowledge on the subject and has produced a book on german music and bands.

This is a great place if you want more info on german WWII music. WWW.tomahawkfilms.com

Thanks for the new site.:)

My pleasure. I am sure you will find some nice bits and bobs on there. The book is a fantastic read and well worth having and some of the SS recordings after the war are really good IMO. The christmas CD of WWII songs is really excellent

The Panzerlied (if I have that right, the song that's in the Battle of the Bulge movie) is quite catching.

As is Erika and the Fallschirmjagerlied. Credit where credit is due IMO the germans certainly knew how to make stiring songs

das unterseebootlied was always a favorite,,not to forget Horst wessel.
