WS70SL Winter German Tiger Tank NIB King & Country RARE, buy it now 999.99.

Is it just me or this a bit high. Also advertising the tank as "Die Cast"

Agree but this seller starts things out at very high and I've seen a couple of people go for the opening bids so I guess he knows what he's doing.

Is that why so many people are buying two of the Tunisian Tiger.
Regards
Damian

Inevitably. You'll see some of the complaints, I'm sure, that arose with the Rommel Greif.

Only 750 Rommel halftracks produced against 1,250 Tunisian Tigers.

Dear Oz...thanks, I learned something new about WW2 ( Milne Bay)..I had always considered the heroic Wake Island defence to be the first challenge to Japanese military superiority, but there, the Japanese did end up taking the island. In your case, they were able to fight off the enemy. Michael

If Bill Slim, the best General Officer of WWII, says so, than its true. Thanks for the info Oz.

I see there are currenlty no bids placed on this item. What is the significance of that. Does it mean it is over priced or that no-one is interested or that the keen bidders are waiting for the auction to close?
Regards
Damian

I went back and looked at his WW II where the auction has ended and the asking price was $150 and over. In 19 out of 22 auctions, the item sold. That's a good track record and obviously there's no harm in asking for a high price. The worst that can happen is it won't sell but it may sell the next time.

As far as your question, Damian, it could mean all of those things. I do note that he previously sold one for $560.

Thanks Brad.
Luckily I have mine hidden away.
I wonder if the Tunisian Tiger will go the same way

I see this seller also has a 2004 edition 88 gun on ebay. SO far he has had no bids as all his sales have quite a high minimun bid. I also want to ask you regular e bayers but why would someone bid for currently available items on e bay. There is a seller selling the new BBA sets on e bay. Why don't you just order one from your dealer directly?

There are some dealers who operate ebay shops as well as their own sites, eg Bill Sager, Crossroads etc. I guess it's maximising your advertising to the widest possible audience.

Simon

I believe the answer is that not everybody works with a regular dealer. Also, as a person like Bill has an ebay store, listings are not all that expensive, and it gets his name out there in front of the buying audience.

It's not only high..... but.... In my view it's a very foolish purchase at that price.....buyers beware as usual......

It only proves that some people will pay any price for any thing. A woman recently sold a pancake with an image of Christ on it on EBay. I don't know what it sold for. I saw a story about it on Yahoo's web page news section about a week ago. If you remember somebody sold a grilled cheese sandwich with Christ' image on it some time ago.

There are still no bids on this item. In fact of all his listings the only one which currently has a bid is the DAK armored car.

The same seller has the Matilda on sale.
I see there are still no bids

The one I feel is a little nuts is that RR auction with a $95 opening bid and a $250 buy it now. That might go for $95 (and that's pushing it).

It always disrubs me when you see dealers put stuff on Ebay with very inflated prices. They buy their K&C at a dealer discount and then to sell their stuff on Ebay with a high price - makes me snitty.

I dont have a problem for people who buy products retail and then sell their collection for more - thats fine - but, when a dealer who gets the discount and then takes advantage of customers for even more - well thats just wrong in my book. There should be a level playing field on ebay - in my opinion. Andy should look at these actions by these people.

Like I have said before - Its Your Collection - You Do What You Want With It - but, thats a little diffferent when it comes to retailers.

Wonder if they had some amazing revelations when the pancake and cheese sandwich were being masticated? :D:D:eek::D:D
