Here are some more from the basement, I have a few ideas but defer to the experts:

the last one is only markings - "DJ" on base.

Thanks!

Okay here is what I know

Pictures 1 & 2 all John Hill & Co (johillco)

Picture 4 Ladies 2,4, & 5 Britains (from the railway series)

Picture 5 all Britains

Picture 6 I think these are Britains but not 100% sure

All repainted by the way and those johillco figures are very nicely done.

The last picture are DJ miniatures. They were made by Don and Jean Porter from Denver, Co. He made some nice figures and you could order different weapons and heads or arms. Last I heard was he was in a nursing home but Nick from Camp Randall and Musket miniatures sells his sets. Nick added to the line and Musket miniatures might not be making them anymore. They sold castings which I painted up. Leadmen

Wow, now that is a heckuva id. Sorry to hear about Don, but I thought it was a pretty neat set. I thought I knew a lot but wow. I am literally trying to clean out my collection and I never realized how many odd lots I bought over the years.

Nice. Any idea what sets the Britains in 5 are from? I am not sure on 6 either, was thinking either Britains, Steadfast or maybe Marktime.

Another person indicated some of the civilians might be Marktime, but I don't think so.

Thanks!

Maybe I should ask Shannon to set up my own "Tom's Antiquie Toy Soldier Road Show" area of the Forum!!

Seriously, glad everyone seems to like doing this, I am missing a few key books in my reportoire, so I welcome the help on the older makers and civilians. I know the majors, but some of the older Britains and other makers really stump me.

Hi Tom,

The 1st figure is the country clergyman and was from the farm series.

The other two figures I am not sure of. The shorter version was the 1st version and I think came with horse drawn ambulance, stretcher bearers and patient.
